Teaching
For some years now, I have been working intensively on the theory and implementation of modern didactic concepts. This is also largely due to my collaboration with the Engineering Didactics group. Since then, I have been very motivated to address contemporary skills relevant to modern engineering as learning objectives in my courses. In this context, I have completely redesigned the modules Engineering Mechanics (Technische Mechanik) I & II, Machine Dynamics (Maschinendynamik) and Nonlinear Continuum Mechanics (Nichtlineare Kontinuumsmechanik). In addition, I have also expanded my efforts beyond the boundaries of TU Dortmund and, among other things, chair the activity group "Modern Teaching and Didactics in Mathematics and Mechanics" of the Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM for short). I am also coordinator of the project "DTM - Digitale Technische Mechanik" of the initiative "OERContent.nrw" funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
